Is This The Best Alternative To Blogging?

by Johnny Bravo · 2 comments

Johnny R Bravo, EzineArticles Diamond AuthorA coupe of years ago when I first started writing, blogging, and working on inbound marketing, I didn’t have a blog. I had no idea how to blog, how to purchase or even design a website.

I didn’t have the slightest idea how to do long lasting, impactful content marketing.

Luckily I’ve learned a lot since then. I’ve spent a LOT of time reading, testing, and optimizing my content marketing strategy all in the hopes of developing a strong online brand.

But not everyone will be able to find the time to learn all that is necessary to start their own blog. Let alone maintain it.

I take that back. Everyone has time to do it, but they choose to allocate it differently. And that’s OK because there are other options to starting a blog.

I think everyone should start a blog but I’m sure there are many rationalizations as to why that is not an option for some.

So I’d like to share one way that that you can develop your professional brand, without starting a blog. Article Directories!

Although there are many article directories out there, my favorite is EzineArticles.com. As the largest and most popular of the available sites I’ve found the links and leads from EzineArticles to be of the highest quality.

What is so great about article directories is that you can simply write your articles and post them to the various article directories, or only one if you want.

Keep in mind that most directories do have specific requirements in order to accept an article but they are nothing crazy. e.g. it must be an original article, must be a specific length, can not contain any adult material, etc.

You can check out my author profile and see what kind of articles I’ve written. Some are about sales obviously. And some are about a lot more random topics that you would be surprised to know I am knowledgeable about.

The point is that I have, and you are able to,write about anything you want.

That is something unique to article directories. Unlike blogs where you are best served by keeping to a narrowly defined topic, article directories allow you to write about most anything you want.

And even better, which is great for back links, especially if you are linking back to your site, is that often these article directories allow you to have up to two links in your author box. You can use this to link back to your company website, professional profile, Facebook page, or blog if you have one.

Here are some of the more popular article directories for you to try out.

  1. EzineArticles.com
  2. GoArticles.com
  3. WebNewsPro.com
  4. ArticleDashboard.com
  5. Searchwarp.com
  6. Isnare.com
  7. Buzzle.com
  8. Amazings.com
  9. ArticleCity.com
  10. ArticlesBase.com

Let me know what you think and your experience with article directories in your professional brand development.

I really love your website.. Very nice colors & theme.
Did you make this web site yourself? Please reply back
as I’m hoping to create my own blog and want to know
where you got this from or just what the theme is called.
Appreciate it!

Hi Maggie, yes I did create the website myself. I’m glad you like it. I am using the Thesis Theme which you can find a link to in the footer.

Let me know if you have any other questions.
