Month End Review - September 2013

by Johnny Bravo · 0 comments

Month End Review - September 2013As always I like to recap on the past month’s posts, going on’s, and general happenings. This is usually a quick review of where I felt I succeeded and sometimes failed during the prior month.

September was a very busy month for me as an Account Executive and as a blogger.

As an Account Executive the last month of a quarter is always a busy time. Sales goals to meet, contracts to get signed, and last minute requests that I am more than happy to oblige.

Unfortunately last quarter (Q2 2013) was my first as an active field rep with MRI Software while keeping the Sales Pro Blog going. As it is I didn’t fully appreciate how busy the last month would be.

Because of that the Sales Pro Blog suffered and that was something I promised never to happen again. As much as I try to plan out my post in advance I still enjoy having a great idea and getting it online as quickly as possible. What I am still working on is a balance between the two.

If you missed any of the past months posts be sure to check them out.

September 2013

I think my favorite post of the month was also the last, The Future Tech Of Sales. My nerd really came out with this one.

I was online watching some YouTube videos about Google Glasses and future tech ideas when the thought hit me about how awesome this kind of thinking translates to the sales industry.

I have no doubt that we will see future advances very soon that directly affect the sales industry for the better. I can’t wait.

Whats New?

You may have noticed that the opt-in form at the top of the side bar changed slightly. Originally when you opt-in my weekly sales tips newsletter you were able to download my free eBook Top 9 Tips For Using LinkedIn Like A Sales Pro.

I’ve since added to the free gift by offering 2 additional resources to help stand out from the crowd along along with my top 10 prospecting methods.

If you haven’t already signed up then I would ask that you give it a try. I only try to provide value in everything I deliver both on this site and off.

Worse case scenario you hate the material and unsubscribe. But the 3 resources are yours to keep.

Additionally I had my second post go live on Career Attraction.com. If you’re in the market for a new job I highly recommend you check the site out. There are a lot of great experts that you can learn from.

I am honored to be considered at the same level as the guest authors.

You can read the post here at How To Sell Your Brand To A Potential Employer

I have been asked to be a montly contributer adn will continue to do so. So if you have any ideas on posts to write, let me know.

Moving Forward

As mentioned in the August Month End Report I have a few projects that will be taking a lot of time to fully implement.

The first is the How To Start A Sales Blog resource. I’ve laid out a general guideline for how I want the page to flow and am now working to fill in the content for each sections.

Second, and the one I’ve probably pt the most amount of owrk into the lasat few weeks is the Sales Resume: An Ultimate Resources. So far its up to 4,000 words and I expect it togrow to the 5k or 6k mark easily.

Don’t worry as I write it out I am being very mindful of keeping the flow easy to read with a table of contents and the whole nine yards.

I don’t want to great a resource that has soo much information that it overwhelms people. Although not my first choice I may even break it up into separate posts but I’ll cros that bridge when I get there.

This resource I very much plan to have ready for release this month. And of course if you’ve signed up for the newsletter you’ll be the first to know.
