Prospecting Is A Process, Not An Event
To anyone who says they have the perfect cold calling script or email template; the one that can close on the first try...I call BS.
Sales is not a one-time occurrence. It is not a one size fits all scenario. It's about helping others, finding solutions, fixing problems, and alleviating pain.
Never is it the same for any person, company, product, territory, or industry.
Always Be Professionally Persistent
Never, ever give up.
Just because they can't or won't buy from you right now, doesn't mean they won't tomorrow, next year, or 5 years from now.
The only long-term reason why someone wouldn't buy from you is because you give up on them.
You can be sure your competitors won't give up so easily.
It's Ok To Fail
Though I'd love to say I have always excelled in my sales roles, there would be no truth in that.
I have failed. Every salesperson will at some point in their career.
What sets me apart as a Sales Leader is that I recognize those failures as opportunities for growth.
I'm A Sales Leader, Not A Manager
No one wants to be managed, but most want to be led.
The world has changed drastically in the last 2, 5, 10 years and theres a new generation that has taken over the workforce. They are our future leaders and its up to the current leaders to build them up.
Micro management won't do that. Only trust, understanding, and real compassion will. I help people be the absolute best they can be. I don't tell them what they should be or how they should get there.
